The method further includes the step of overridingthe .[.ignition switch.]. .Iadd.operator .Iaddend.control of the engine in response to apredetermined condition when .[.the.]. .Iadd. a .Iaddend.first switch selects the automaticoperating mode and the safety apparatus indicates the truck engine may be safelyoperated in the automatic operating mode.
