摘要：The present invention provides a method and wireless communication system ()for verifying a position of a mobile station (). The system () determines whether themobile station () is located within a checkpoint area (). If so, the system () then compares amobile station position of the mobile station () within the checkpoint area () and acheckpoint position () corresponding to the checkpoint area () to generate a result. Thesystem () thereafter determines whether the result exceeds a predetermined errortolerance. The system () indicates an error associated with the position of the mobilestation () if the result exceeds the predetermined error tolerance.
