摘要：Known agents for treating peptic ulcers are either not sufficiently effective orpossess undesirable side effects. These problems can be overcome with compoundswhich are 2-(substituted phenyl)-5-alkyl-thiazolidine-4-ones having the formula (I)wherein R and R independently represent an alkyl group of 1 to 3 carbon atoms and ndenotes an integer of 1 to 3. These compounds can be formulated into pharmaceuticalcompositions for treating peptic ulcers.
