A clownfish, Nemo, is captured by scuba divers and brought on land. His father Marlin sets out to rescue him. Marlin meets a blue tang Dory along the way, who joins him in his journey. They go to Sydney to find Nemo.
Meanwhile, Nemo is trapped in a fish tank. His captor, Dr.Sherman, is going to give Nemo to his niece, a cruel girl that kills fish by shaking them. Nemo escapes by playing dead and eventually gets reunited with his father Marlin. They return to their homeland and continue their lives.
