其实，俺觉得，好像两题的this都没有指代不明呢。。。
第一个，一般读下去，this situation就是前面The information age hasushered children into a global society这一形势了，反而我觉得是后面 this situation causing 语法上有点问题呢
要么就 The information age hasushered children into a global society and this situation has caused/ caused ecators to lament a lack of texts that explain the diversity of cultures.
用and来连接两个完整的句子
要么就 The information age hasushered children into a global society, a situation where/ under which ecators to lament a lack of texts that explain the diversity of cultures. 用定语从句
或者The information age hasushered children into a global society, causing ecators to lament a lack of texts that explain the diversity of cultures.
用现在分词作伴随状语
至于High school graates usually do not end up earning as much income as college graates do, this being why so many high school students go on pursue college degrees.
个人觉得，要么就

一般都是the reason why…… is sth.
要么就像题目的 this fact explains why so many high school students
this fact explains sth.
这里的sth.= why sb. do sth.
而this fact 读下去就是High school graates usually do not end up earning as much income as college graates do这一事实了，也没有指代不明

1中的This可能指The information age has ushered children也可能指a global society
2中的This只可能指前面一整句所代表的情况追问但是1也明确说了：this situation呀，那就一定是说info has ushered children into a society这个situation
追答1可以理解成两个

看不出来是指代不明
但是第一题如果是this situation 那需要连接词
改做分词 那就不用加 this situation
而a situation 的话 做插入句合文法
第二题
这句也是没连接词
改做分号就没问题
我认为应该不是指代不明
